New Faculty Development Program
If your looking for the opportunity to broaden your skills as a NP Faculty Educator, look no further! National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE) invite you to participate in an exciting and innovative new faculty development program. This credit continuing education program is designed for the learning needs of novice NP educators. Learners will complete five on-demand modules examining NP education’s complex and unique aspects for faculty new to the role.
Each module consisting of 3 or more sessions builds on content from prior sessions:
- Foundations and Theoretical Frameworks of Education
- Curriculum Design
- Student Assessment
- Clinical Education and Evaluation
- Technology and Learning Best Practices
Take Note Before Registering:
- Discounts are only available to ACTIVE NONPF members.
- Registrants have approximately 90 days to complete all course modules.
- Each of the five modules will be worth CE credits, accumulating 28 total credits. Credits are awarded following the completion of each module.

Module 1: Foundations and Theoretical Frameworks of Education
This module will review the foundational and theoretical frameworks relevant to creating practical learning experiences for NP students in the classroom and clinical areas. The learner will understand integrating the principles of adult learning and national standards of NP education into programs across multiple learning settings. Module 2: Curriculum Design
This module will help the learner explore the interrelationships between developing programs, curricula, and individual courses and using design standards to articulate these relationships in nurse practitioner education. Module 3: Student Assessment
This module will help the learner develop and strengthen the knowledge and skills for assessing NP students’ learning by providing practical assessment and feedback in both formative and summative evaluations. The lecturers deliver advice and strategies for developing well-written test questions and exams to evaluate knowledge and skills effectively. The learner will appreciate the role of simulation and case studies in assessing knowledge, skills, and behaviors, including diagnostic reasoning and communication skills.
