Partnership with NONPF Now Launched!
September 19, 2022
The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) and Nurse Practitioner Associates for Continuing Education (NPACE) have joined forces to create an innovative and comprehensive faculty development program for new or early career nurse practitioner (NP) faculty. As the number of NP faculty entering the workforce continues to grow, this active learning program fills the educational gap for novice NP educators.
This 28-credit on-demand continuing education program aims to help new faculty understand the nuances of adult education and the specific education needs of NP students. The program is led by nationally known speakers and content experts, broken into five easy-to-navigate self-paced modules.
The modules include:
- Foundations and Theoretical Frameworks of Education
- Curriculum Design and Development
- Student Assessment and Test Construction
- Clinical Education and Evaluation
- Technology and Learning Best Practices
Specifically designed for NP educators, each session provides in-depth understanding of curriculum development, including mapping curriculum, program design, and test item construction and analysis. Participants will learn how to assess students from classroom to clinical, teach diagnostic reasoning, and integrate simulation activities for formative and summative evaluation. Additional sessions provide the nuts and bolts of using library resources, databases, and AR/VR technology.
Significant discounts on the New Faculty Development Program are available to NONPF members and any NP faculty through the NPACE Learning Center. Learn more about our partnership.
