Speakers
Her current passion is helping NPs and busy, stressed out professionals change their lives so they can become healthier, more confidence and more successful.
She has worked for 41 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Women's Health. In 2015, at the age of 61, Dr. Secor earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah.
The following year, in 2016, she was in her 1st body building competition, making her “Debut at 62”, placing 5th in the Figure over 40 category.
Nov 4th, 2017 she placed 2nd in the over 50 category in her second competition at the New England NPC Championship Bodybuilding Show in Boston, MA.
She has rec’d several awards and has also published extensively, including her NEW #1 International Best-Selling book, “Debut a New You: Transforming Your Life at Any Age”. 2014 co-authored textbook, Advanced Health Assessment of Women; Skills and Procedures, that was selected as 2016 “AJN Book of the Year-honorable mention” and her Updated (2nd edition) 2018 co-authored textbook, Fast Facts About the Gynecologic Exam for Nurse Practitioners, PAs and Midwives.
Dr. Mimi Secor is in business with her daughter (a Pro Body Builder, Trainer and Health Coach), as “Coach Kat and Dr Mimi” and their passion is helping stressed out- NPs and Busy Professionals become healthier, more confidence and successful. They offer a variety of programs/services including online courses and programs.
As a Radiology Nurse Practitioner, Marion was responsible for the development and establishment of a clinically based nurse practitioner within the Department of Radiology.
Dr. Myrick has 30 years of nursing experience, nurse practitioner for 19, and professor for 7. She continues to maintain a clinical practice in orthopedics and sports medicine in the orthopedic urgent care, and is an avid half marathoner, triathlete and martial artist. The recipient of multiple research grants, she publishes regularly in peer-reviewed journals, and actively reviews for several. Her research focus is sports medicine, and she has contributed to multiple published books, and is the primary author and editor of a book for Springer Publishing released in September 2016. Dr. Myrick received the 2016 National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF) “Outstanding Researcher Award” and multiple “Outstanding Poster Awards”.
Committee work includes Membership for the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS), Education and Resources for the (National organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty) NONPF, Government Relations for CTAPRNs. Board work includes Strategic Advisory for the global, interprofessional Clinical Case Reports Journal, and the Center for Responsibility, Education and Action, and the New England Shoulder and Elbow Society. Dr. Myrick has worked with a national workgroup to draft the guidelines for appropriate use of injections in osteoarthritic knees. Proudly, Dr. Myrick is also the room parent for her daughter’s fourth grade.
She serves as a consultant to the Boston University School of Medicine, Barry M. Manuel Office of Continuing Medical Education and COPD Quality Improvement Consortium and has engaged in several collaborative COPD QI projects.
Dr. Syeda received her medical degree in 2005 in Chicago’s west loop at Rush University Medical Center and then moved east to complete residency and Chief Residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed a Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine and conducted health services research focusing on the impact of prolonged mechanical ventilation and use of tracheostomy on chronic critical illness. She is ABIM board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine.
At the Boston VA, Dr. Syeda is engaged in various clinical, educational and administrative initiatives. She is responsible for, and is strangely enthusiastic about, the interpretation of all the hospital’s pulmonary function tests, an estimated 3,300 per year! She regularly teaches medical students, residents and fellows at Boston VA and is actively engaged in various hospital initiatives to improve transitional care and reduce admissions and readmission's for patients with COPD and Heart Failure. To this end, she developed and served as a medical director of a successful intensive care and case management program for veterans with advanced heart failure and COPD.
She is the recipient of numerous awards and was chosen by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as the 1999 recipient of the New Hampshire State Excellence Award. In addition, she received the 2009 NH Nurse Practitioner of the Year and the 2014 Top 5 Women in New Hampshire Business Award. In 2005, she was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners; in October 2014, a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, and in March 2017, a Fellow into the National Academies of Practice.
She is the founder of the NH Chamber of Entrepreneurial Nurse Practitioners, an organization designed to assist nurse practitioners with independent practice issues. In addition to full-time clinical practice, she presents nationally to different audiences and has been a speaker at over 1000 conferences in 47 states. She is the nurse practitioner representative to the State of NH Immunization Advisory Board. She has been a medical media spokesperson for numerous companies and has appeared on radio, television, and in print magazines. Wendy is frequently consulted by malpractice attorneys around the area of clinical practice and has worked on more than 100 malpractice cases involving nurses and nurse practitioners.
She has been involved in the kidney community for the last 25 years picking up Renal Professional of the Year 2014 for her work. She is an AAPA Distinguished Fellow and was selected as Outstanding PA of the Year in 2014.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
FEES:
All registrations must be paid in full by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) at the time of registration. NPACE no longer accepts payment by check. 4th for Free, Letter of Credit and complimentary registrations all require a $50 non-refundable administration fee upon registration.

CANCELLATION BY REGISTRANT:
Written notice of cancellation must be received by email or letter. A refund, excluding the $50 non-refundable administrative fee, will be issued when cancellation is received no later than one month prior to the conference start date. Refunds are processed based on the original form of payment.
A letter of credit, excluding the $50 non-refundable administrative fee, will be issued when cancellation is received between 30 and 8 days of the conference start date. This is valid for 12 months from issuance and may be used for towards any NPACE conference.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within 7 days of the conference start date.
CANCELLATION OF EVENT:
In the very unlikely event that NPACE cancels or postpones a conference due to circumstances beyond its control, NPACE’s liability shall be limited to refund of paid registration fees.
